Dakota
Archery Products, Inc.
was born in a small farm garage on the prairies of South Dakota
when President of the company, Don Hulm, had an idea for
an arrow holder for his shoot-through arrow rest. After 38 years
of archery hunting, this idea was just the latest in a long line
of improvements Don had made on his own equipment. However, something
about this idea was different, and after much research and soul
searching, Don decided to pursue this idea as a business venture.
In January of 2001, Dakota
Archery Products, Inc. debuted at the AMO Show in Indianapolis,
Indiana, with a simple idea: help people "Hunt with Confidence".
The original product line consisted of three models of the patent
pending Arrow Holder along with the patent pending Fall-Off Bumper.
The initial response to the product was outstanding and innumerable
requests were made to make the product fit other rests.
Currently, Dakota Archery Products
offers the Dakota Confidence
Arrow Holder for over 50 different arrow rests, with additional
compatibility coming soon. In addition to the Arrow Holders and
Dakota Confidence Fall-Off
Bumpers, the company also produces Quiver
Extenders for the Mathews two piece nondetachable quiver
along with a conversion bracket
to allow the quiver to hold seven arrows instead of five.
The newest products in the company's
line include Light Brackets
for selected fiber optic sights and Targeting
Systems for consistent practice.
The company remains a family
oriented business using the efforts of immediate family and close
friends for production and packaging. Research and development
of new products continues with extremely exciting projects under
way to further the line of products offered to bow hunters.
With apologies to ADM, the
mission of Dakota Archery Products, Inc. which drives their innovative
effort: "We don't make all of the archery products you use,
we make some of the archery products you use, better!"
